Salsa Latina is pleased that you, (the Hirer), have chosen to hire and use its facilities at Salsa Latina Dance Centre, 12 Bath St, Christchurch, New Zealand (the ‘Premises’) as a key holder. Available 24/7 any time of the year.
We thank you in advance for your business and will do our best in ensuring that our facilities are well maintained and available for your use. In connection to your proposed hire and occupation of our studio(s) at Salsa Latina’s Premises, the terms of the Studio Hire Agreement (the Agreement) are as follows:

1 ACTIVITIES

1.1 In consideration for your payment of our Hire Fees as set out in the Hire Invoice, the said Studio is/are made available for hire for the purposes of (please fill out out some details about your hire requirement and Activities during the Reserved Slot.)

2 CONFIRMATION

2.1  To confirm your reservations, you are required to make full payment of $20 Sign up fee (non-refundable) through our online store. 

2.2 A Security Deposit / Bond of $50 or full hire payment in advance of any studio hire if you have more than 3 persons in your booking.

2.2  Upon the payment of the Bond, Salsa Latina shall hold and reserve said Studio for you at the said Reserved Slot(s) over the entire Hire Period until you terminate the agreement, see  (2.4)

2.3  Salsa Latina shall not be obliged to reserve the said Reserved Slot(s) for you until full payment of the signup fee and bond (if required) is made. Plus this hire agreement is accepted by Salsa Latina.

2.4 Termination of Agreement - We will hold any bond until you terminate this agreement. If you terminate this agreement and wish to hire the studio afterwards, you would need to pay a signup fee again.

 

3 BOOKINGS & ALTERATIONS

3.1  All Bookings, Cancelations & Alterations to bookings must be done with 24hrs notice at minimum via our website booking form. 

3.2  For all Reoccuring Bookings a cancellation must be made one (1) week or less prior to the commencement of the Reserved Slot(s), a charge of 100% of the hire fee of the Reserved Slot(s) will apply.

3.3  Any extension of time beyond the Reserved Slot shall be subject to the availability of the said Studio according to the Studio schedule. Such extensions shall be charged in blocks of 60 minutes. Salsa Latina Dance Centre shall have the sole discretion to alter and/or adjust the extension rates without prior notification.

3.4  To avoid additional charges, you are required strictly to vacate the studio on time after your Reserved Slot expires. If someone has a booking after you, make sure you are out on time. Extension charges will be applicable and charged per 60mins or part therof.  

3.5 Salsa Latina reserves the right to cancel or move any booking any time. Regular weekly bookings for group classes we will generally give at least 2 weeks notice.

3.6 Studio Hire Fees from 2024 are made in 1hr & 1.hr slots only and must be purchased on our online store, unless a prior arrangement was made & maintained see pricing page  >

3.7 Studio#3 is no longer available for bookings. This is only now available to Salsa Latina staff & teachers.

3.8 Studio#2 Group Bookings not available unless previously arranged and maintained as a regular booking on week nights - If your group has more than 3 people and Studio #1 is available, you will need to book Studio #1 instead.

4 GENERAL

4.1  This Agreement applies strictly between you, the Hirer and Salsa Latina Dance Centre. You shall not at anytime time licence, assign or transfer the Reserved Slot without our written consent and approval.

4.2  The Premises shall be used strictly and solely for the Activities prescribed herein, dance, physical fitness and/or other related activities duly approved by Salsa Latina Dance Centre. Any other activities shall be deemed unauthorized except with the written authorization from the Studio management. Salsa Latina Dance Centre reserves its rights including the right to refuse, restrict and/or terminate such unauthorized activities.

4.3  Should the Premises be used for any unauthorized activities as described in Clause 4.2, Salsa Latina Dance Centre or its authorized staff(s) shall have the sole discretion to terminate, without notice, this Agreement unilaterally and no refunds of Hire Fees and or Deposit shall be made. All other rights available to Salsa Latina is also hereby expressly reserved.

4.4  Setup of any kind shall be part of the Reserved Slot other than prior arrangement.

4.5  Remove all personal & group belongings that you brought to the studio.

4.6  Animals, Cycles or Bikes of any kind are not allowed inside the facility unless by prior arrangement.

4.7  Do not post anything on the notice board or anywhere else at the Facility including flyers, posters business cards or kind of advertisement without prior approval. Please notify us if you wish to advertise anything.

4.8  The Studio(s) are hired as is. Alterations to the facility are not permitted: Pictures, medals, posters, dance shoes,

lamps, furniture & any other items may not be relocated, moved or removed from Salsa Latina Dance Centre. However stackable chairs and tables me be used anywhere, but must be returned to the correct place.

4.9  The service or provision of food, drink or alchohol is strictly prohbitited other than by prior arrangement in writing.

5 RESPONSIBILITY

5.1 You shall undertake to ensure appropriate conduct of your self as well as of your students, participants, children, observers and/or accompanying individual(s) and/or any other persons allowed into our Premises by you in upholding the image and reputation of Salsa Latina Dance Centre over the entire course of the Hire Period. Salsa Latina Dance Centre reserves its rights in its sole discretion to refuse such groups and or individual(s) from entering its premises in event that it deems that the said group’s /his/her conduct is inappropriate. For clarity see 8.1

5.2 You shall undertake to make good of any damage and/or loss to the Premises, its equipment, its fixtures and/or fittings during the course of the Hire Period. It shall be your sole responsibility to ensure that the Premises, its equipments, its fixtures and/or fittings are maintained in their respective original condition.

5.3 No decorations shall be attached without consent. No Nails, Staples, Pins, tape, bluetac or adhesives of any kind may be put into walls, ceilings, floors or surfaces.

5.4 Fire: Open flames, incense, smoke machines, candles or matches etc, are not permitted at any time at the Premises. Salsa Latina Dance Centre is a non-smoking facility. Any fire service call out will be your responsibility if you are the cause of the above.

5.5 Make sure Salsa Latina Dance Centre is locked and the alarm is set if you are the last person to leave the Premise. Security Cameras are operating and all video footage remains the property of Salsa Latina.

5.7 Security Issue: If you are using Studio#2 and no one else is in the dance centre or using studio#1, you will need to make sure reception is covered, or lock the main doors while you are using the studio#2 (e.g. lock main door 5-10mins after you session starts. This is an important security issue for the building.

5.7 Make sure all Lights, Air Conditioning Units, Fans, PA equipment are turned off when you leave.
Note: some lights are automatic or left on. See “Hire Regulations” www.salsalatina.nz/studio-regulations If electrical equipment is left on when leaving the Premises, electricity usage will be estimated and deducted from the security deposit or charged. Please refer to “Studio Hire Regulations” as above.

5.8 Failure to follow the above could result in termination of agreement without refund of deposit/bond.

6 HIRE REGULATIONS

7 DISCLAIMER

7.1 You shall indemnify Salsa Latina Dance Centre & Salsa Latina Dance Academy fully against any claims whether monetary or otherwise made by or on behalf of your student(s), participant(s), observers, accompanying individual(s) and or any other persons allowed into our Premises by you, including but not limited to personal injury, theft of personal property(s), damage to personal property(s), chattels, etc.

7.2 In the event of any injury or death of any of your student(s), participant(s) during anytime that they are in the Premises, you shall undertake not to hold 'Salsa Latina' or its owners responsible and/or liable whatsoever and howsoever arising.

7.3 It shall be your sole responsibility to take out appropriate insurance coverage, as you deem fit and necessary.

7.4 It if your responsibility to make a copy of this agreement as dated above.

7.5 This Contract is invalid until we approve this via email. All previous Contracts will be invalid on signing this new contract with our approval.

7.6 You argree to all Terms of Service & Privacy Policy on this website.

7.7 You may be required to sign future updated agreements to gain access to the studio, in the event of a future agreement update all previous agreements become void.

8 CODE OF CONDUCT
8.1 By gaining access to our venue, you are acknowledging and accepting The Code of Conduct that governs entry at Salsa Latina. Any violation of it by any person will result in the forfeiture of any refunds. Please read the Code of Conduct here >
