Friday Salsa Party @ Engineers
Our Brand new Salsa Party night is a huge hit! Join us at 'Engineers Bar & have drink and a dance! Our social nights are the most popular Salsa Dance events in Christchurch. Anyone can come, this night is for everybody at all levels, dancers and non-dancers. We are also creating a safe environment for dancers, this bar doesn't attract the usual night club crowd so it's perfect for those that want to enjoy partner dancing.

Social Latin Dance Party:
DJ Reuben from Salsa Latina - Playing best Latin mixes around, with 2 decades of experience in organising these kinds of events. In-fact One of the few in New Zealand who has been running regular non-stop events for over 23 years (since 2003) for the Latin dance scene in Christchurch.
The ratio of dance styles like Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha, Merengue & Kizomba played will be based on who is dancing at the event, it's not a strict formula but there will mostly be Salsa & Bachata.

• Any Dance Classes?
Not at the bar at this point in time, but we do recommend joining our Free beginner classes during the week at Salsa Latina. If you can't join our beginner courses, do consider Private lessons to get to Intermediate. You are also welcome to come watch any class.
• Why are some events missing?
We strive to maintain a consistent schedule every two weeks. However, occasionally, due to significant events or orangisers being away, there may be adjustments. So we recommend to join our newsletter & become a member on this website or keep an eye on the timetable.
• I'm a beginner dancer, should I come to the party?
Absolutely!.. it's the fastest way to learn when mixing social dancing with regular Salsa & Bachata classes you'll learn up 10 times faster. It's like practice on steroids!
• Can I bring my friends?
Yes everyone is welcome including non-dancers.
• Is it a Latin Night or a Salsa Night?
This is a Partner dance based Salsa Latin Night not a Reggaeton Latin Night .... Find out the difference >
• How come the party is Free?
We do this to support & grow the Salsa & Bachata community in Christchurch and New Zealand, our dance Classes help offset the cost of running this Latin Dance Event. So please do support our dance school & Salsa Classes, & Bachata Classes.
