Kizomba Open Workshop Level:

These classes are not suited for absolute beginners. To build a strong foundation, we recommend attending our beginner Salsa & Bachata classes, where you’ll develop essential skills in partner work and body awareness.

The Open Level class is designed for dancers who already have experience in Salsa and Bachata and are looking to transition into Kizomba. If you’ve previously taken Kizomba classes at Salsa Latina or elsewhere, this class is perfect for you as well.

For those wanting a head start, check out our Kizomba Beginner Online Course to get started at your own pace

Kizomba Beginner online course!

What is Kizomba?  Kizomba was popularised in Portugal from Passada, its a beautiful, sensual partner dance that is a fusion of European, African and Caribbean styles...  see history for more info >

Beginners Info:

Absolute Beginners, these classes are not yet suitable for you. However, we recommending trying our Free 1st class during week times. Join and learn the universal lead-follow techniques and with some practice, you will soon be able to participate – a fantastic goal to work towards!

Typically, progression from the Beginners level to this stage, but we since we don't have an absolute beginner Kizomba class on offer we recommend to do at least 4 weeks of a Salsa or Bachata beginners course before attempting Kizomba.

Gradings or assessments are not required for this class

Tips:

#1 Be early, we start on time, in fact come 15mins early and you can practice or social dance before class

#2 Do our r online classes this way you can learn our system better and learn far more easily.

#3 Carry on dancing afterwards, this is a great way to get into social dancing and an excellent way to practice and have fun dancing during the party that follows the workshop. Since you already met a few people in the class it also easier to get a dance.
